EXTREME HEAT WEATHER WARNING

With the Met Office issuing warnings for extreme temperatures across the region, we wanted to update all of our customers on how we’ll be operating over the next few days.

Our teams will be hitting the road bright and early from 6:30am to make the most of the cooler morning temperatures and to complete as much work as possible before the peak heat arrives.

The health, safety and wellbeing of our staff will always come first. We have given all of our on-the-road teams the full support and authority to make the decision to come off route when they feel they have reached their limit in the heat. No questions asked.

Yesterday, despite being given exactly the same option, our incredible team showed remarkable dedication and professionalism by pushing through the challenging conditions and successfully completing their routes. We couldn't be prouder of the commitment, resilience and work ethic they demonstrated.

That said, we recognise that these temperatures can be dangerous, and we will continue to support our staff in making the right decisions throughout the day. If extreme conditions mean that some work has to be postponed, we ask for your understanding and patience. Any affected customers will be contacted and rearranged as soon as possible.
